Expert Oil Painting Restoration
The Oil Painting restoration project above is from the 1800’s.
You can see the tears and abrasions in the painting along with the frame that was missing parts and had tarnished. The before photo shows the process after vacuum lining the painting to give it an additional support canvas. It also shows during devarnishing of the old varnish. The last photo shows the completion of the entire restoration work including the frame restoration, 23kt gold leafing and the portrait lined in painted and sealed with a matte finish.

Water Bath and Bleaching Treatment
This is the work titled St. Paul with Jesus and Angels.
The painting came to the Museum Shop in terrible condition with ripples, soot black smoke and water, mud stains on the engraving. The painting is also circa 1800’s. You can see in the photos above the before and after restoration appearance. We second photo shows water bath and bleaching treatment process. The stains and mud have come out. The black soot and smoke came out and all of the ripples have disappeared.
The restoration was a complete success!
